John and Jessica- A Chicago WeddingI was more than flattered and happy to fly out to Chicago to capture John and Jessica's wedding for them. Jessica's family is from Chicago so they decided to have the wedding and reception there and then do a second "reception" here in Virginia the following week. I had never been to Chicago before and the travel junkie in me jumped at the chance (luckily it was in August, I may not have been so excited to go to Chicago in the winter- it was 3 degrees when I flew through there 2 days ago). Boy did we have a super fun weekend. It was a small intimate wedding and just full of laughter and good times. You may remember John and Jessica from their apple orchard engagement shoot or from the rehearsal photos I posted a few weeks ago. But now....for the main event! The wedding took place in a park in downtown Chicago...
music provided by the groom and the maid of honor
After the ceremony, we jumped in a limo ride around CHicago.
then a stop by the river
This officer had the same last name as the newlyweds!
Had to get some photos of the insanely tall building....
men and their pocketwatches...
and of course, champagne limo ride!
The driver was super awesome and needed to be in some photos.
The reception took place at the Little Goat
The first dance in the golden hour...
and of course, the daddy daughter dance:)
These two were singing every word to the song during their mother and son dance.
the groom and his original two women...
The newlyweds are huge foodies and so I was told to get photos of the food!(which was prepared right in front of us)
was it good? haha. Just ask Samson:)
