Mills Family Band- Ode to a great wedding bandI love a good wedding band. I mean, who doesn't like a good soundtrack while they are working? As a photographer, receptions are only as awesome as the people in attendance make them. A good reception is full of non stop laughter, big incredible smiles and dancing. LOTS and LOTS of dancing. Most people's favorite reception photos are always the insanity on the dance floor. I know in my group of friends that we are famous for our insane dance floor parties at weddings...you know, famous among ourselves that is. A good wedding band appeals to everyone at the party....the old, the young, and all those in between. They can get everyone up there on the dance floor. They can have it rocking with fast tunes and romance it down with the slow tunes. There are a few really awesome bands I have managed to catch at weddings that do just that.....The Upper East Side Big Band and Love Canon are two really amazing ones. Another being the Mills Family Band. They were the band at a wedding reception at the end of May in Richmond and they had EVERYONE on the dance floor. They have a such a fun yet classy vibe to them. With three completely different vocalists there really isn't anything they can't play. I really got serious about photography through shooting music so I tend to always take a bunch of photos of the band. Instead of flooding the wedding blog with band photos, I have put them here. So, check out the Mills Family Band and some dance floor fun!!!
