| 52 Week Project, Week 13If you had asked me 10 years ago if I ever went running I would have answered, "only if I am being chased." If you had asked me 5 years ago, I still would have laughed. I was missing out. I have only started running in the last couple of years. Truthfully, it was the last type of exercise I enjoyed doing. But I kept at it and it became easier. I went further. I went faster. I went longer. My body feels better. My mind feels clearer. I am happier when I am running on a regular basis. I am ecstatic when I finish a run. Last year I ran my first race. The Monument 10k here in Richmond. I loved every second of it. It was named one of the best races in the country and between the racers, the volunteers and the bands, there are over 40,000 participants. Richmond has such a great community and you feel it every moment on race day. People line the streets cheering you on the entire time. Little kids jump out to give you high fives. It really is awesome. So, a week and a half remains before this years 10k and only 2 weeks after that until the Color Me Rad run. What can I say, I am stoked.
