As part of my New Years Resolution to challenge myself more, I decided to participate in a photo project this year.  I have tried the 365 before but just could never find the time to keep up.  I came across this FB page for a 52 week project where you choose one object to have in everyone of your photos for the entire year and decided to go for it.   For my object I picked my elephant ring.  This ring was given to me by my best friend years ago and stays on me at all times.  She also has a matching one.  I chose the ring for a few reasons.  The first being that it will help me practice ring/detail shots.  I also hope to get a macro lens soon so I thought choosing something small could be fun to play with as well.  The final reason is that because it is always on me, it opens me up to doing self-portraits as part of the project.  Anyways, I introduce......the ring!
