A special Wednesday night it was...it was my very good friend Georgia's birthday celebration.  And celebrate we did.  

While waiting for her to arrive back in the fan I jumped over to the Republic for Grease Trigger.  I only snapped a few....the place is not so  photog friendly without climbing on stage and on chairs. But they were great and I plan on checking them out again this Wednesday at Cary St Cafe where I can have some better quality time with the camera.

A quick stop at Joe's to catch up with the birthday girl and then it was off to Cafe Diem where the GitDown (a group put together with players from The Big Payback, DJ WIlliams Projekt, Grease Trigger, NO BS, etc.....the hot money fire) was KILLIN' it.  I hate to use that term....cause in this city it is overused.  But hot damn.  What a fun night.  Between The Big Payback and NO BS Brass Band, Richmond is holding down the best booty shaking bands around.  I find it impossible to not dance, to not smile, and just not to feel like I am at the best party in town when either of these bands play.  Woot!  Tonight, The Big Payback is gonna destroy us again when we throw down for St. Patty's Day at Cary Street Cafe. Someone gave the birthday girl a tambourine:)
